Gaming has become a major part of our lives, and with that, the need for comfortable and ergonomic chairs has increased. The Herman Miller x Logitech collaboration chair is a game-changer in the gaming chair industry. In this blog post, we’ll take a closer look at this chair’s features, comfort, and design. A gaming chair built for long gaming sessions
The Herman Miller x Logitech Embody is not just any ordinary gaming chair. It’s a high-end chair that comes with a hefty price tag of over $1000 USD. But, is it worth the investment? Let’s find out.
The chair’s design is sleek and modern, with a black mesh base and a black leather seat and backrest.
The rear support system is my favorite part of this chair, with its subtle branding and creases that create an elegant look. The wheels are white, which is the only downside from an aesthetic perspective. However, I wish they were also black.
Herman Miller x Logitech Embody Adjustments
The chair comes with various adjustments to cater to different preferences. There’s a standard height adjustment knob that helps you adjust the height, as well as triggers to lower and raise the armrests. Unfortunately, moving them side to side requires pushing them in the desired direction since there’s no button or trigger for this adjustment.
There’s also no rotation on these armrests, which is a bummer. However, there’s an unique adjustment that allows you to extend or decrease the length of the chair by pulling on handles or pushing back on them depending on your leg length. This helps keep your weight off the chair if you have long legs like me. There’s also a lever at the back that lets you adjust how far you want to lean back, which I personally don’t use since I prefer sitting straight and having good posture for now.
The final adjustment is super unique to this chair; by turning a handle or knob, you can stiffen and change the angle of the spine of this chair according to your curvature to fit perfectly for your spine type. This feature adds an awesome touch to this chair since my spine is more curved down at my lower back so this helps fill that gap and keep everything straight but still comfortable without forcing me to have good posture but rather in a comfortable manner.
Comfort, Oh, Sweet Comfort
The base of the chair is incredibly comfortable from the moment you sit on it. There’s a mesh structure underneath the foam padding held up by a suspension and coil system, providing three levels of support underneath the cushioning. The rear of the chair has a similar support system, with a mesh structure held up by the skeleton system making it sturdy yet comfortable in any direction you lean in.
I haven’t experienced any heat in this chair since I generally don’t have that problem when sitting down, but I do tend to shake my leg a lot when thinking or typing, and I found that the chair can get loud at times for me doing this; however, this has been pretty inconsistent and depends on where the chair is angled on my carpet since it doesn’t bother me but some people may find it annoying at times.
Overall, I am really stoked on this chair for its comfort and looks; it adds a really nice touch to any setup, and it’s not just for gamers despite what some people may think due to all the Logitech branding and being a gaming chair.
This chair definitely makes a statement, and I haven’t had it for long but can already feel a massive difference in my posture and comfort of my back since using it consistently for work or gaming sessions for hours without experiencing any discomfort or pain in my back like before using my old uncomfortable chair for so long.
